To me the real success is in creating a family that laughs together, that wants to be together even after the kids grow up. To me the real success is in admitting that as parents we, too, have to sometimes say we are sorry, that we, too, sometimes get things wrong and don’t have all the answers, and we then teach that to our kids. To me the real success is in being real, honest, alive. To me the real success is in being fair in the sense that we must admit our failings, admit our worries, and admit our needs, even to our children, to make ourselves human, sometimes.
